As we all witness in Autumn the leaves of many trees begin to change color. According to Science made Simple the change of color in the leaves is due to photosynthesis. When Autumn comes the days become shorter and there is not enough light or water. With that there is not a lot of light which plants need in order to have photosynthesis occur. When Autumn arrives, since there is not enough light or or water the trees will live off the food they had stored during the summer. They will stop photosynthesis from occurring and the chloroplasts will disappear. That is why the leaves change color and its all because of photosynthesis.

I find your blog interesting because I blogged about almost the same which is the leaves changing. Although I find your blog a little weak and I feel like you could add more detail. I really like how the picture you took of the tree looks.
ReplyDeleteAt first I thought your post might've been simple, but you taught me that trees live off stored food that they stored from last summer. I never even thought that they lived off like that during the fall and winter.
ReplyDeleteI like this post because it made me learn something I didn't even know, or I even cared to think of. Trees are very interesting and nature in general is beautiful so I like your blog.
ReplyDeleteWe can really see the changes. Like how the leaves are changing colors; dying flower. Such as my sunflower.
ReplyDeleteI've always loved all the pretty colors the leaves change into;however, I never knew how it would happen. Its really neat the leaves change color as a result of lack of supplies such as water and light.
