Our AP teacher, Ms. Farias, has given us an assignment where we have to observe something, preferably alive, for the next two months. I will be observing the wildlife in my backyard. The many interesting things like plants and animals that I see will be written about and photographed in a field journal which will lead to our final assignment. It's a long and hard process but it will be a fun expiernce. It's good to observe, in depth, things you normally don't notice.

Calmness
Calmness--how peaceful it is. Today as I observed I took a different approach, instead of observing the wild life in my backyard I decided to just listen. As I listened I heard the sounds of birds chirping, I didn't bothering looking at them--just listened. I continue to listen and as I hear birds chirping, in the background I hear passing cars. It sounded like a busy morning because I heard one car after another no stop. My backyard isn't too far from a street so that's why I was able to hear them pass. There was a slight wind this morning so along with all the other noises once again in the background the sound of leaves clashing with each other were heard and they made a wonderful sound. What I got out of today while observing is when taking the time to just listen, just listen and nothing else; wonderful sounds will be heard.
